China plastic market inventory report
As of October 16, 2012, total inventory of domestic PP and PE major markets increased by 3.76% compared with the end of last month, with a year-on-year decline of 32.96%. In terms of inventory structure, both PP and PE stocks recovered this month. Among them, PP was 6.00% higher than the end of last month, 2.98% lower than the previous year. PE rose 2.94% from the end of the previous month, down 39.08% from the same period a year ago. In the region, north and south inventories rose this month. North stocks rose 1.86 percent from the end of last month, a 39.41 percent decrease from the same period a year ago. South inventories rose 4.69 percent from the end of last month, down 29.41 percent from a year earlier. Overall, the main market inventory in the first half of October has recovered.
On October 16, China's plastic price index closed at 946.23, down 15.32 points from the end of last month. The PP index closed at 1009.87, down 24.35 points from the end of last month. The LLDPE index closed at 832.16 points, down 19.87 points from the end of last month.
